Section 02 of 06

Product Materials

Plain-language explainers of the materials inside everyday products, how they behave, and why one is sometimes worth twice the price. We take one material category at a time (stainless steel grades, memory foam, wool blends, ceramic vs porcelain, PTFE coatings) and explain what the labels mean, how the material actually performs in a home, what shortens its life, and what to check in-store. The goal is to make the composition tag on a garment or the specs sheet on a pan legible enough that a shopper can spot the difference between premium as a real property and premium as a printed word.
