Smart Buying Tips is a five-person editorial team. Notes that come through this page land in our shared editorial inbox, and one of us, often Maren or Devin, reads them within a day or two.

We’ll usually reply within five working days. If you wrote because something we published was wrong, you can expect a faster response than that.

What to write to us about

A question for a future article. If you’ve been wondering about a product category and can’t find a clear explainer anywhere, tell us. Reader questions shape a real share of what we cover.
A correction or factual concern. Please point us at the article URL and the specific sentence. We treat reader-flagged errors as priority work.

Most reader questions land in one of these. If yours doesn’t, please write to us, we’d rather answer the same question twice than have anyone wonder.

How long does it take to hear back?

Most replies go out within five working days. Corrections and press inquiries are usually faster. If a week has passed and you haven’t heard from us, your message may have been caught by a spam filter, a polite nudge is welcome.

Will my email be added to any list?

No. The contact form is independent of our newsletter. Your message and email address are used only to reply to you. We don’t add anyone to a mailing list without explicit consent.

Do you accept guest articles or sponsored posts?

We occasionally commission contributors with deep, specific expertise, usually engineers, designers, or repair professionals. We never accept sponsored posts, paid placements, or affiliate content. If you’d like to pitch a piece, send us a paragraph about what you’d cover and why.

I spotted a mistake in an article. What do I do?

Please tell us. Send the article URL, the sentence in question, and what you think is incorrect. We treat reader-flagged corrections as priority work and aim to publish updates within the same week, with a dated correction note on the article itself.

Can I republish or translate one of your articles?

Short quotes with attribution are always welcome, no permission needed. For full republication or translation, please write to us with where it’ll appear and how it’ll be credited. We say yes more often than we say no.

I’d like a piece of data deleted. Who do I write to?
